A: No, experience is not required for most courses, most of our students start at beginner level.
2. Q: What type of employment can Makeup Artists expect after training?
A: Graduates have opportunities working as a freelance artist on television and film sets, on models for photo shoots, doing weddings, proms special occasions and much more! In addition to freelancing, some artists choose to work in retail, own a business, or even instruct makeup classes.
3. Q: Do I need a license?
A: In accordance with the State Laws of NJ Makeup Artistry on its own is NOT a licensed profession. Most Makeup Artists in the industry choose to freelance which the State of NJ does not regulate. Artists are also allowed to work in a salon or retail environment providing products are being sold.
4. Q: What is my income potential?
A: Most experienced Makeup Artists can make between $400-$600 daily as a beauty artist and $600-$1000 daily as a Special Effects artist.
